Verify insurance, scope, safety, and warranty terms in writing.

Before scheduling, request proof of current liability insurance, any required local registrations or licenses, a line-item scope of work, preparation and repair assumptions, product system details, expected access restrictions, cleanup responsibilities, and the actual warranty terms. Confirm that the named business on each document matches the company you would hire.

Insurance and identityCheck the insured business name, policy dates, coverage type, and who is responsible for subcontractors. Ask how a claim would be handled.
